Okayama International Circuit is a 2.973-mile track located at the base of the foothills of the Hijiriyama Mountain in Okayama, Japan. It features 18 twisty turns and long straights, making it an ideal location for testing a variety of race cars.

Okayama: Interesting Facts

  1. The Okayama International Circuit is located on Japan's Kagawa Island and was designed by a team of engineers led by F1 track architect Hermann Tilke.

  2. The circuit is 2.3 miles long and has 12 turns.

  3. It hosted its first race in 1992, when F1 legend Ayrton Senna won the first Okayama 500.

  4. The circuit has hosted the Japanese round of the World Superbike Championship since 1998.

  5. The circuit was also the venue for the Super GT series every year between 1992 and 2000.
